For some people, getting to and from their medical appointments can be a challenge because they don’t (or shouldn’t) drive or they don’t have close family or friends who can transport them to the doctor’s office.
Regardless of whether those conditions are only temporary or are permanent, it can be a serious roadblock to treatment or recovery if appointments, treatments, and follow-up visits can’t be attended.
If you or a love one receive NYS Medicaid, Medicare or Worker’s compensation and have one of the following medical insurance:
Healthfirst, Metro Plus, Wellcare, affinity, Fidelis, M.A.S, MTM, VNS Choice, GuildNet, Aetna, Montefiore Medical, Mount Sinai Health, NY Presbyterian, United Health Care, Amida Care, Senior Health Partners, Independent Care System, Elderserve.

All Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation must be approved first.
All non-emergency Medicaid transportation handled by MAS must be approved first, this means that travel to medical services is eligible to be covered by Medicaid, but must be authorized before that travel happens.
To start the approval process, please call MAS at at (844)666-6270 to begin, or to find out if you are eligible for non-emergency Medicaid transportation.
MAS deals frequently with enrollee-approved family members, medical practitioners and social services caseworkers who also set up appointments.
Note: Our services are by definition “non-emergency.” We will do our best to accommodate urgent or last-minute trips wherever you are, but please understand that these are difficult to quickly accommodate, especially in rural areas.

All trips should be set up at least three (3) days in advance.
Long distance trips should be set up at least seven (7) days in advance.
